Nice Port
The Port has retained the old fashioned ambiance of a small village. Our apartments couldn’t be placed more conveniently. You will be spoilt for choice when seeking restaurants or cafes in the streets surrounding us. Local bakers, green grocers, wine shops, delicatessens and butchers, are all friendly and will be happy to help and advise you about the best combinations of food and drink. You are just 10 minutes walk away from the lively Old Town, the Promenade des Anglais, the Museum of Modern Art, the Chateau and the parks and beaches.
Nice has a long and colourful history as evidenced by it's splendid and varied architecture and cuisine. It was founded by the Greeks, who named the city "Nike" meaning victory and since then it has been constantly pulled between different would be rulers. Nice Port has a particularly Italian architectural and culinary flavour. Garibaldi played a big part in Nice's destiny and a lot of it's character and charm is owed to the magical ‘Nicoise’ combination of the best of Italian and French culture.
Home to a wide variety of vessels, this busy little port with it’s luxury yachts and veteran sailing boats, ocean going ferries and small fishing boats, provides ample opportunity for boat watchers or those who just want to sit with a fishing line.
Whether you want peace and quiet, art and culture, shopping, sports or adventure you can use our local knowledge to help you plan a tour, arrange a days sailing or just find a bus timetable. We want you to have a great holiday.
